Fundraising Call 2024

The Tamil Academic Journal is a volunteer-run initiative which aims to promote original research on Tamil-related topics. It is dedicated to publishing peer-reviewed articles from all disciplines. It is run by a young team of academics, students and professionals from diverse disciplines and careers working to establish a platform for research that concerns Tamil people globally.
– Have our own website and automated submission portal
– Be a Crossref member and get DOI numbers for all our papers
– Purchase and utilise software such as Turnitin
– Translate our published papers into Tamil
– Own our own Zoom account for meetings and events
– Organise in-person events, including panel discussions
Our team members do not get paid and volunteer for the Tamil Academic Journal in their spare time outside of their main jobs. Not having an income source, we rely on donations for us to be able to carry out our functions. We were only able to launch in 2019 thanks to the support of the community, and once again we would like to reach out for donations.
We would be grateful for you to donate to the Tamil Academic Journal so our volunteers are able to continue our work to promote research for the Tamil community. We aim to raise £2,000.
If you donate any of the above amounts, we will mention your name and donated amount on our website if you wish for us to disclose your details.
Thank you very much for your support, we will not be able to run our organisation without it.

The Tamil Academic Journal Team
